Passed through there last night. Hunting outside of Junction on a friend’s low fence ranch for a couple of days.

Still live in LA.

They moved the Alamo, dead center into town. What a disappointment. What did Santa Anna see that was worth attacking that run down church in the middle of a big city?

Bastard was desperate for a basement.

Don’t live there but find myself down there more and more often lately.

At the time of the battle, the Alamo was, by some accounts anywhere from 800 yards to approximately 1.5 miles outside of town. It has a mission, then seized by the Mexican military and turned into a fort by 1800, and captured by Texans in 1836. It was famously recaptured by Santa Ana the same year. It not been moved since the battle.

I am contemplating selling some of my left-hand bolt-actions and do not want to deal with shipping them. I'll only entertain dealing with Texas residents in face-to-face transactions.

Yeah if you had something I wanted I could easily work out of our Austin office for a day or two and meet you in SA or somewhere convenient. Doing that next week for a .308 in NB.

I’m passively looking for a first rifle or the makings of one for my lefty son who is a couple years away from needing one. I lean towards the 308 family since that’s what I shoot most. I do have a youth LH stock for a 700 short action if you happen to be looking to move anything that would fit.

Thank you.

FYI, an AT&T cable in my area wascut, so my iternet access has been intermittent. As soon as it b\is back to normal, I'll respond to inquiries/questions..

I intend to sell the following lefty rifles:
1) Kimber of Oregon Model 24 Classic in .17 Remington.
2) Cooper Model 21 Varminter in .17 Mach IV.
3) Remington 700FS in .270 Win.
4) Remington 700 Sendero (semi-custom) .25-06 Remington.
5) Winchester Model 70 .470 Capstick.

I haven't though about price much yet; I am still coming to grips with selling after all these years of buying.

I can add more details if anyone is interested.

George

Hi George,

I’m up in the Dfw mess. I get down there occasionally and I’m a lefty that’s always looking. Feel free to reach out if you ever need assistance up in Dallas.

Regards,

Mike

George

Would you consider dealing with me face to face? I'll also be at DSC next Thursday
