This thing affectionately known as a "boat anchor" is only good for range practice. If Ruger made this optics ready and threw in at resonable cost one of Chinese holosights (it would not be expensive venture because decent ones can be had for around $60 per unit at Alibaba, therefore, ordered in bulk the price would be very reasonable) they would probably sell a bunch. I would check for feedback at Ruger forums where many of their fans go.

I think they came out in 2017. Model 1757, stainless. https://ruger.com/products/gp100/models.html

He asked if anyone had experience and Slavek chimes in. Lol I did it because I did not think anyone would respond. I mean, how many would pick this over Model 63, SP101 or LCRx?

Less evidence at the scene. Shoots any 22 except magnum I would guess. No feeding issues. Built Ruger strong.

That'd be pretty cool with a 3" bbl.

I have one topped with a vortex venom, along with the speed Bee reloading kit. I like the grips quite a bit. My sole complaint would be the trigger. I wouldn’t mind having it smoothed and lightened. They’re a lot of fun. This is after a little over 1,000 rounds. where is the nearest gas station from here

Sounds promising. Have you really wrung it out to see what it'll do on paper?

No.
I use this to burn through bulk .22 mostly. I haven’t put any decent ammo through it on paper.

I have shot the 10 shot GP-100 and I own the competition, the S&W 617. I think the GP-100 is a VERY nice revolver, and even more fun with 10 shots. The one I shot had a reasonably smooth action, but not as smooth as my S&W. Accuracy was every bit as good as my S&W, and the grips feel great in the hand. I just tend to think the 10 shooters are about the most fun you can have with a .22 handgun. I love DA shooting and these guns will make you a very good DA shooter. Just this past Sunday my son used my 617 in an informal rimfire match and he waxed everyone's arse and he shot the whole thing DA. My 617 is pictured here, and I'm kinda surprised at how well she has held up. It has EASILY 50k rounds through it, and it still looks nearly new.

We sold a few. Customers uniformly liked them and only complaint was about weight. We put one on the bags next to my 10 shot 617 and with several kinds of not bulk ammo the K was about 50% tighter in grouping at 25 yards but the GP was better than a couple other 22s like the Taurus 94, a larger Taurus, a SP101, and a Ruger LCR. Trigger on Smith much better.
