Wife watches when I'm not around. Usually not news but some Anchor editorializing. Like I give a chit what his or her opinion is.

I don't. Can't take it.

There's no shame in deriding sideline reporters.

I tell you what, even as bad as the 100% propaganda that the "news" is, I'd probably rather watch it than all the 100% propaganda commercials on TV. Holy schidt, they're bad. ALL of them. In your face, pushing that agenda...HARD.

I honestly don't know. He wouldn't give me his cellphone number, so I have no way of checking on him, but I fear Bob grew weary from being misunderstood.

I break things if I watch the news as it never disappoints. I peruse reliable sights online as most do anymore who seek the truth. Have a national no talking for women day and we might quell some of the spread of lies, but I doubt it! Those beauticians and the women on the View just can't help themselves.

Haven't watched the news since COVID, sick of all the lies. The sham election and the puppets occupying the white house are two more reasons.

I quit watching the news on election night last year. Absolutely won't watch it, despite my wife being hooked on the news as her "reality TV"... She gets real pissed at me when she comes in my office railing at something the news told her to be pissed off about, and I tell her I don't watch the news, and would much rather not HEAR about the news either.

Frankly I don't miss the Fox News babes either. I have Weather Nation on TV in my office now, and no Fox babe can hold a candle to Alana Cameron anyway.

A broken country
If someone had told me 50 years ago that people would not get a vaccine because of politics I would not have believed it. America as a nation has lost its way. During WW2 people did everything for the war and the nation. They put up with rationing and all sorts of sacrifices. Fast forward 80 years and America has become a nation of spoiled brats. This all started with Reagan when he promoted the individual above the good of the society and we now see it in so many ways. I am in high tech and when I see the disregard for society exhibited by some in high tech and I shake my head. We have a fundamental misunderstanding of freedom in this country. Few have ever studied this concept in college. Typically, it is a part of political science.
One party is pandering to the least educated. Our political system is showing its age. It does not represent the majority at all anymore and we are being governed by the minority. No society will continue to function when the least educated governs. It can be a blend of all the people but one segment governing is a disaster. The ideas of the future does not come from rural America. It comes from the most educated.
This is our most perilous time since the civil war.

People like the elitist who wrote it are too ignorant to know how truly stupid they are.

Mostly I look up data and derive my own conclusions. Pretty much given up on drive by media and late-night entertainment. They've exhibited nothing but hatred and fear mongering since Trump carried the country and the virus appeared, respectively.
