Took my nephew this year during the Mo youth season. He passed several deer up early but decided this was the one. The rifle is a 700 donor that I had a 22” Shilen barrel chambered and fitted. B&C mtn guide stock chopped to 11” lop
The cartridge is a simple .204 case sent through the 25-204 die and loaded with some 335 and a 90 Gr ttsx at 2800 or so. It is very accurate and fits the kids nice with minimal recoil

Congratulations to you and your nephew. I took all of mine to shoot their first deer when they were young, here at the Ranch.

Tanner along with several other kids and a few adults are 100% 1 shot kills with it.
