I’ve traced my ancestry back to 1 Mayflower passenger.

Earliest ancestors of mine in America got here in 1881 from Germany. Years ago I went to school with a kid who claimed to have ancestry that went back to the Mayflower on one side of the family. Other than that most folks I know only have roots here back about 100-150 years.

None on the mayflower. Possibly one or two with Leif Erikson, but they went home.

My mothers aunt had her genelogy traced and supposedly one ancestor came over on the Mayflower. My fathers granny is half Choctaw so some of my ancestors were already here. Ancestors on both sides were Hessian's fighting for the brits and both supposedly changed sides and joined General Washingtons army. My great grandfather was named George Washington Salsman and his great uncle was named George Washington Salsman.

Well, I certainly am fascinated with family history.
And, yes, I had an ancestor on the Mayflower, two actually.

Just like today, about 20 years behind the times... Harman Bach came over from Freudenberg, Germany, ~1638. Landed in Virginia.

Have no idea and wouldn’t believe much from some ancestry websites.

I’ve got a few old Bibles and notes that go back to a little bit before the Civil War and that’s it. Related to Zachary Taylor.
