Way back in the day Jack Black and coke was my adult beverage of choice and I've probably consumed enough of it around the world to float a battleship......it's been many moons since I've drank any but this news still almost brings a tear to my eyes.

Just now getting out?

The load was ultimately headed for Japan. Not mentioned in that article.

That's what happens when you don't lose much. Back page news.

Nasty tasting overpriced rot gut.

Just imagine what a handle would cost if they made a good tasting bourbon!!

IKE, I can't blame you for not drinking any of that for many moons, just a shame it took you so long to quit it.

Did you take to drinking good bourbon or did that stuff break you from all bourbon? Don't quit on the count of 1 bad apple.

That's not JD's first rodeo, About 20-something years ago a pipe leak spilled over a thousand of gallons down the creek that runs through Lynchburg, fed by the cave spring on the distillery's property. There was quite a fish kill that resulted from that one.

It is Tennessee sipping whiskey. Bourbon is made in Kentucky. At least that is my understanding.

Many years ago (i was a young man then) you could get a just emptied barrel from them for $7. Add 4 gallons of distilled water, put the barrel in the garage (no air con) and shake daily for 2 weeks. Came out a perfect Jack and water mix. 4 gallons for less than $5. Ah, those were the days.

So, bottom line is that the spill really wasn't a tragedy.
