Too hot to hunt here.
So i made a trip.
First stop was 7 am.
Cavenders. Busy as hell. Then to Home Depot. Fuggers didn’t have the big packs of rayovac AA batteries on sale this year.
Killed time to 8:30. Western store opened up. Got there couple minutes before. Damn. Long line.
Listened to podcast.
Snagged some boots. Holy chit it was busy.
*but*
Full of cowgirl hotties.
Time i got to BPS it was picked over.
Anyone else out?
Dave

I shopped for a new suit, shirt, shoes for my daughter’s wedding about 5 weeks from now. Took about an hour. Online. Macy’s. Pick it up in about 10 days. Hope it all fits. Still figgering out the belt deal. Just no use in buying anymore wimpy belts even for dress slacks. If it won’t hold up a full holster it’s 50% useless.

Picked up a couple 250 rd boxes of Aguilla .22lr hv cprn at BassPro for $14.99/ea. The parking lot was full. Checked out in fishing dept. They were 20 deep at the front checkouts.

Yep, put in a 13 hour day. Buncha fuggers out wandering around in a carb coma buying [bleep] they don't need and yelling at their kids while throwing stuff on the floor and bitching about stuff lol...Good times...
That Fugger looking for rayovac batteries was the worst...(gotcha Dave)

I gave the ol' American Express a work-out, I "braved" it from the comfort of my home office with the devil's box. Does that count?

I bought a few more pounds of powder in 4064 and 4831sc as well as a couple more boxes of .223 70gr TSX for $24ea. I picked up another water”proof” camouflaged hunting jacket in a suitable desert pattern for knocking around. It’s a warmer Primaloft style fill and on sale for $35…a no-brainer.
My scope from Cameraland showed up so it got mounted and bore sighted then I shot 3 rounds through the Whelen….at 50 yards it was 1 ragged hole. I’ll get it stretched out to 200, run it through the chronograph and get my dope figured out in the coming week but I’m really liking this scope.
I’ll go back and get a couple more of the camouflaged jackets this week and bring them to church for Christmas presents for kids I need to find a good sale on shoes to bring to church as well. My wife buys the toys to donate and I buy the practical stuff but either way we seem to spend 4x as much as we initially planned but at least it goes to a great cause and we don’t go hungry so what the heck…

To the OP's question I went to Home Depot this morning at about 6:30, to get some items for a project I'm working on, , place was dead. Lots of sales folks about, and merchandise. But not even as busy as a regular work day.

I found a bunch of tula 7.62x39 for for $6.75/20 with no limit. Loaded a basket full and headed up front to check out. I got there and saw the line and just set the basket on the floor and walked out.
Another store had Winchester active duty 9mm for $42/100 and Blazer Brass 9mm for $15/50. I bought the last 600 of the of the active duty because it's a flat nose 115g loaded just over 1300 fps. It's the new mil spec stuff and it hits pretty hard. I probably should have grabbed a few cases of the Blazer Brass because I haven't seen it any cheaper lately.

Spend $35 and ship free... Rayovac AA at bottom left.

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

Went to the farm store I used to work at and picked up bird food, cracked corn, suet, and a suet feeder. They were so busy my old boss gave me his number to open up the till and check myself out. Gave them 20 minutes free labor at the till to get the department caught up on gun sales. Still walked out sooner than if I waited up to check out up front.
