About how old of a child wears size 12? I was in a boot shop looking for new boots for my 9 y/o son and the store owner told me kid's sizes end at size 7. My son needs the next size larger so she had us looking at women's sizes because men's sizes were too big.

Thanks, Dinny

I understand what you’re looking for but here’s a bit of experience from a guy that has 6 and 9 year old boys. None of them last long for us and only VERY lightly used might be a deal for you. We buy the Arctic Shield brand on Amazon for our boys and they usually last about a year depending on how fast they grow.

Good luck in your search!!

Check out the dry shod boots, similar to muck but seems to outlast them.

Those boots are a bit pricey for kids who will outgrow them in 9-12 months. I may get a pair when I wear out my Lacrosses. My feet are done growing. 😉

Thanks, Dinny

But a good 9-12 months with warm dry feet. If they go hunting with you and their feet get cold your hunt is done.

I would think you'd want something a little lighter for 5yo legs. Cheap ones from Academy were about right. 5 years from now mucks will make a difference.

Kinda funny watching my 10yo in his. Skinny with big feet. Pretty sure he gets a workout.
