I bought one of the new winchester wildcat 22s from them a few months back, gun guy argued with me for 5 minutes about the "county" I lived in and said I was wrong and finally told me to go ahead and submit it to see what happens. I know what county I pay taxes in and live in dude....

Takes 10/22 mags which I have a lot of.

$329, Savage 110, and “thorough inspection”....
I'd have told him to schit in a brown paper bag and carry that in the woods. Same/same. Nah, it's even better than the Savage; you'll never run out of ammo, and it's easy to find.

I want to know what in the holy fugk can be gained by peering down the open end of a Savage 110.

Not to mention you can respect a man that walks around with a bag of schit. A Savage? Not so much.

"Yep, it's a Savage alright. Box 'er up."
LOL “Hey!! This rifling is twisted the wrong direction!!” You got me. It’s not like you’re looking for pitting from corrosive ammo in Alvin York’s Springfield.... Musta been all outta fat chicks, mopeds, and butt-out tools down at Costco...

Looking at a Salvage bore thru a Hawkeye, you'd wonder how they shoot. Bores can be pretty rough. But, somehow they seem to shoot pretty well.
I don't have one, not looking for one. Those I've examined were owned by others.

Paul with your luck don't you think it's about time to give up? Well, for $329 and with my good fortune with Savage, there's not a lot that could go wrong. Worse case scenario, I end up with a tomato stake that I spent a little too much on. Best case scenario is I end up with another pleasant Savage surprise. You have to ask yourself what you would do in my shoes. 1. Continue spending increasing amounts for guns that don't work. 2. Give up altogether. 3. Buy budget guns from a manufacturer who has never failed me. 4. Stay at home and slam my dick in the sliding glass door.

Cabelas in Phoenix started doing that as soon as the buy out happened. Trigger locks on everything. Claimed someone offed themselves once upon a time at a Bass Pro. I asked how they expected people to inspect the gun before a purchase and they said if anything was wrong after I bought it they would "try" to fix it or I could follow up with the manufacturer.

In all seriousness Paul, I bought my daugter a savage 110, pink camo, accu trigger yada yada. After sighting in had to send the piece of shiet back I guess the firing pin broke. Only rifle I ever had to send back to the manufacturer.

I just don’t understand the need to “thoroughly inspect” a NEW $329 rifle. Other than an uneven gap between stock/barrel, or something obviously broken, what were you going to find? Once you opened the box, and it wasn’t stamped “Mossberg”, the next logical step would’ve been to pay for the rifle.

Only rifle I ever had to send back to the manufacturer. I have probably owned 8-10 Savage rifles over the years. Not one single problem. I can understand how for most people buying a Savage from Bass Pro sounds like a combination from hell, but I am not most people. LOL.
