So Dan what is wrong with 24D ? I know about 245T and it is nasty but it is a different animal from 24D.
2-4D and 2-4-5T are the ingredients of Agent Orange. Dioxin is formed when they are mixed, and as suggested above, Dioxin is just about king of the carcinogenic mountain. 2-4D is not considered carcinogenic here in the US, but is in most of Europe. Funky side of it is that 2-4-5T was in common use here in times gone by and it stabilizes like most herbicides when it gets into the soil. Stir up the dirt, spray a little 2-4D on it and you just made yourself a bit of Dioxin. I won the Agent Orange lottery some years ago and would only recommend it to democrats and other retards. I'm saving a dose or three for LBJ and R. Strange McNamara for when I get to Hell.
I am..........disturbed.

2,4,5-T was the culprit in agent orange. During the manufacturing process if overheated ( more common when made in Thailand during the Vietnam war) it formed a double oxygen bridge called dioxin. 2,4-D was 50% of the mix that was called Agent Orange but does not form dioxins. This mix was first used by the British in Malaya in the late 1940’s when the were fighting a communist insurgency.

The two compounds form dioxin when mixed, but when heated the production is much higher.

Love that Agent Orange sauce! No you don't. Trust me on that. While we're at it, avoid anything with 2-4D or 2-4-5T. What the hell...the Scientist over at the Extension told me 2-4D was good for lawn weeds if you have Bahia grass

I don't know what Bahia grass is but 2-4D kills only broad leaf plants.
As noted above when mixed with 2-4-5T it is rated for brash, trees, and also does all kinds of bad things to people.

Glufosinate is what you will want to use. Trade names are Rely, Liberty, Lifeline. It only kills green tissue and only the part of the plant it’s sprayed on. It’s safe for the applicator too.

Oregon grape is pretty slow growing and easy to control with a shovel or hoe. I've got my hogs leg round up squirter don't get me wrong but sometimes the "hard" way is the easy way.

That's what I've been doing but it's out in the back where there's no irrigation and the soil is heavy clay so it gets hard as concrete. A hoe would bounce off that stuff. So I'm thinking spraying might be easier.
