I've got a decent bit of extra, unopened powder (rifle)... and no idea what the going/fair rate is right now? (obviously face to face, locally)

Totally depends on the powder. Less desirable stuff is going for not much over store prices. Maybe $40/pound. More desirable stuff (like varget) can be seen for as much as $150 a pound

$50 a pound, face to face, is what it is going for here but our stores are starting to have the more common powders available and in stock now so I expect that to drop to the normal pricing sometime soon.

Haven't seen powder at a LGS, BPS, Cabela's or SW in close to a year. Sold 4# of very desirable powder FTF for $55lb recently. At this point I can't say that I can see the old "normal" ever coming back.

The LGS here are getting in the low $30s to around $40 per pound. A friend bought some new production Accurate 2230 yesterday in a local store for $34 per LB, IIRC.

It varies as stated in previous posts but if you want a flat rate across the board price it's about $50 a pound here.

About the same around here, local stores that have powder are charging 32-38 per lb. I personally will not buy powder from someone charging 50+ per lb. In fact I just sold some IMR 7828, 2 3/4 lbs for 60 bucks.

Going Rate around here is around 40 a pound unless is comparable to varget then its 50+, Alliant (never even saw it on the shelf just the sticker) 65+. Western powders seem to be best value at 38 a pound for TAC and Hunter.

Thanks y'all. I'll take a look at exactly what's sitting in the storage bin and post later.

Just sold 3 1 lb containers for $50 each. Less desirable powder would go for $40 a lb. Seems to be the fair going rate right now. Its hard to come by in most places. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon.
