Anyone actually using one?
What's to like/dislike as a simple set/forget hunting scope.
Bashers refrain please, I know it's not a NF or SWFA.

I have two, 2-7 on a 30-30 and 1-4 on an AR. The 2-7 is very bright and clear, i wish the duplex reticle was thicker, but I am very satisfied with them.

I have had a Freedom 3-9x, a 2-7x ( still have ) a 3-9x EFR and the RDS.
They all dialed in and held zero while I had em. Some had mushy adjustments but they worked
My complaint is w the aesthetics.
They aint pretty and on some guns look even more hideous.
A new entry level synth rifle? Id put one on. Anything classic? Nope.
The 2-7x is just sitting around in case a .22rf comes along.

Anyone actually using one? Not at the moment. When they first came out I put a 3-9X rimfire version on a light 10/22 I put together. Carbon-fiber barrel, hogue stock, Jard 1-lb trigger assembly, and mounted the Leupold in Talleys. That was the only Leupold I've had that I just couldn't get functioning correctly. I couldn't get both the target and the crosshairs in focus at the same time so after a couple months fighting with it off and on I punted it. Tom

What current production scope(s) would you think would look good on a classic rifle?

Not a fan of the vx3i angular turret body but w contoured caps looks tolerable.
Put mine on a bolt rig.
Ruger single shots IMHO looks best w gloss older Leupolds.

Contoured caps and an old style lock ring would help a VX Freedom IMHO
Even w Freedom power selector grip type
The EFR model has a tube instead of bell ocular. Kills the looks on most .22 rifles IMHO.

Freedom VX look OK on an AR or tacticool. My 2-7x was not overly out of place on my cz455 ( not a pretty rifle to start with LOL ).
It now wears a VX1 3-9x. Helps a little 😉

$100 overpriced for Chinese glass? Hold me back.
They should make the line a loss leader to rebuild the brand.

They should make the line a loss leader to rebuild the brand. The Freedoms are US made. Leupold sells NO Chinese made scopes- only Binos/ Spotters

There are lots of products stamped "made in USA" that contain foreign made parts.

I have a 2-7. Mounted on a Ruger mini 30. It looks ok there but could never put this on a good marlin lever or compact old school model 7 or Ruger compact. Just can’t stand the way the aesthetics looks Everything else has been ok so far

I have a 1.5-4 with the Pig Plex on a Marlin 30-30. I really like the Pig Plex reticle in low light and brushy areas. It was on a 7600 30-06 Carbine last year that I sold. Great little scope for the money but I'm not a fan of the squared off turret caps.
