Have an opportunity to by a Rhino 324 32hp 4x4 with front loader $5k. It's the size I'm looking for but never heard of these tractors and can't find any information online except that they are made in China. The tractor engine was just overhauled, new hydraulic pump, new starter. No leaks anywhere. Seems to be a sturdy little tractor but I'm leery since I can't find any info.

Anyone have any experience with this tractor?

very unrefined---was a 324 too---4x4 w/loader

don't recall how many hrs I used it...but was building a home/then pushing snow

Sold it after a divorce...was lucky to get the $$ I did...look at parts availability B4 you buy

I now have a Kioti CK35

the other Orange tractor

Parts will probably be a real mess to find... if you need anything, but for $5k maybe it's worth it.

I have a John Deere 790... I was told it was a Yanmar machine and NO PARTS AVAILABLE), but the local John Deere dealers said that is not 100% true... many parts are still available... just not all parts.

In the would of equipment $5k is almost nothing...

FANTASTIC MACHINE... but even Kioti is having parts drama lately.

I almost bought a Kioti CK35 in the spring... it was $18k... and that was a steal.

Yes it's a 2 cylinder diesel. It's not something I will be using more than few times a year which is another reason I just can't justify spending the money on a new one. The koiti dealer here can get most any parts for jap & china tractors. I guess I will just have to take it and how it gets me a few years of use.

That is a pretty good opinion/decision on a $5k tractor... take you chances and hope for the best.

I bought a $3500 Ford backhoe a few years back (older diesel) and quite the mess on loose and breaking hoses. Sold it after I had used for a while... got $5k. In and out stuff.

I had one
RUN don't walk is all that I can say!
Parts/service etc are ALL issues.
Ordered a service manual from Tai-Shin[actual manufacturer], appeared to have been written by the Chinaman with a 2nd grade education at best.
Everything on it from engine to hydraulics to the cheap steel turned into a royal pain.
Got rid of it quick and bought a Kioti and while not perfect, light years beyond the Rhino!

Rhino is a discontinued tractor.

Sooner or later you'll need parts for it. I can only imagine what a cluster that could be, given the parts shortages in tractors not discontinued 30 years ago.

Who knows how to work on them? Or is willing to?

I don't disagree that Rhino is a ticking time-bomb (much like the Ford 6.4 or 6.0 (somewhat)), but we all have a budget.

I am looking at dozers at the moment... I can't afford a new one at $425k, so I am looking at used machines in the "Bargain Cave"... around $125k

EVERY MAN HAS A BUDGET!

I've bought parts here (link) for my Kioti CK35

The dealer I bought it from in '10 has since stopped selling Kioti..he was 2+ hrs away

I've had good service from mine..but again only has less than 500 hrs

Snow blade is on & ready & waiting for our first big snow storm...we hope

Having the kubota parts number, I’m able to get parts @ my local Carquest store.

Handy, as the dealer is 3 hours away.
