$80 per cleaning but we only have her clean once per month. We take of care of it ourselves in between. She vacuums and makes the beds but mostly she scrubs the tubs, dust the tops of ceiling fans and takes care of the other things that need cleaning a little less often. She’s at the house for about four hours. So $20.00 an hour.

My wife would never, ever allow someone to clean her house. And it would never meet her expectation anyhow.

If we are talking about my wife, everything plus a 10% fee for some reason she hasn't explained.

Well, when we used a professional service, we paid the initial contract like that. We now use an individual so we write her a check once a month.Same as the lawn folks...
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

This thread is priceless. Good thing Biden is providing a steady stream of help.
This country is doomed! Yes, because throughout history people have never had maids until now. 😁

I write our maid a monthly check, in advance. The lawn service bills my VISA, like all my other bills.

I think my wedding ran me about $40,000. LMAO
Due to the increased price of ammo, don't expect a warning shot...

Ben Lurkin: You are kidding right? I spend my monies on guns, Hunting and ammo - I try to keep my house as clean as possible myself, day to day - with MUCH help and direction from the VarmintWife. Wouldn't even consider a "maid service" at this stage of the game. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

$150 twice a month Does laundry, mops, vacuums, two bathrooms, kitchen, dusts. Much cheaper than a wife and gives me the free time to do what I want. All I do is take out the trash and do my dishes when I cook.

$80 every two weeks for the upstairs. It’s funny though, my wife has to “straighten up” a bit before the maid gets here 😊

Must be the same guys that pay someone to change their oil. Or the ones who figured out some shops can do it as cheap as a guy can buy oil and filters. Dad couldn't find his oil at a half dozen places around town, called the dealer and they were within $20 of what it would have cost him for supplies. I think I paid $78 for my last oil/filter change at my local gm dealer on my Silverado. 8 qts synthetic oil, filter, tire rotation and they washed the outside and vac’d the carpets. I figured that was cheap enough.
Life can be rough on us dreamers.

I’ve never had maid service. Don’t even get it in a hotel. Have never known anyone who did. I live a deprived life!

After my wife died my BIL offered his girlfriend to clean my house twice a week for $100.00. That worked great for several months till he came over one day and found her in the French maid uniform. That's when the fight started.
