Anyone had any experience with Barnes 180 grain ttsx in the 358 win and pigs, if so will they do a job in the front shoulder or do i need to neck/head shoot them?

No, but the Shock Hammer 178 gr is a killer. It may be softer than the TTSX, opens well and exits WT's. They reportedly have less resistance down the bore due to their patented scalloped driving bands. They're more expensive but I like them. https://hammerbullets.com/product/358-cal-178g-shock-hammer/DF

Shot all of these with the 180 TTSX, blew right through them 50 to 150 yards.

So my guy did not get the loads done for me for 358 win, but did get them done in 358 norma and I took them to the range with a 98 mauser build, noticed a couple thing, very flat between 50 and 100 yards, and in a sporter contour barrel there was limited temperature gain in the barrel. This gun is going to be a sausage maker LOL

I believe Barnes don’t “expand” they just uncurl the petals
Perhaps with the normas velocity and going through bone the petals broke off.

yea there was small pieces which were the very front of the bullet in the carcass, it destroyed the internal and the pig was done. Head shot another one and that was beyond ugly LOL
