Sightron Riflescopes

I just had an amazing meeting with my Sightron representative. I have to say I am quite impressed. A great and knowledgeable guy who is interested in assisting and is customer service oriented. We started working with Sightron a couple of months ago. We have brought in quite a few of their Riflescopes and have found them to be well above what their price point would suggest. Also, very nice indeed, they make all their riflescopes in the Philippines and Japan. No made in China riflescopes from Sightron smile

I wish they would bring back the lightweight hunting models.

Seems it’s tactical world now. Everyone gotta have a 6.5 quagmire with Hubble telescope on top with turrets you can crank with welding gloves on.

No kidding. I wish they'd just make the SIII with a good duplex or BDC reticle in a few flavors like 2.5-8x, 4.5-14x, and 6-20x. You know...like VX-3s that will track.

Oh, you can have a Sightron hunting scope as long as you want something built like a $150 scope, because that's what it is (speaking of the SI models).

x10, offer a Elmer Fudd scope (2-7x36), with Sightron’s good reputation for tracking, and I’d buy a dozen.

Even just bring back the S-II line

I have an S1 on my .222, it’s decent, but give us some mid-tier hunting rifle options.

Oh yeah! An Elmer Fudd 2-7x36 Big Sky would be ideal for me 👍

My rep and I discussed this in depth and he gave me the impression that Sightron was acutely aware of the need for a full quality hunting line in order to participate, and possibly be a leader, in this market segment. Let's see what the future brings. I'm hopeful

I have multiple Sightron scopes and I'm a fan. The SII 3-9X42 on my Omega added 2 more elk to its list during this last youth hunt. If Sightron comes out with a ~2-10X40-ish scope with SIII glass at under 20 oz. I can see myself buying several.

The only thing I didn’t like about the Sightron scopes I had long ago was they had a very unforgiving eye box. Your eye had to be absolutely perfectly aligned and exact eye relief or the image would start blinking out around the edges. The glass was good. If they just come out with some good hunting reticles that nobody else offers or does right anymore they would get a lot of business. I like a little heavier plex for failing light and timber or even a #4 reticle and actually have some posts come closer to the aimpoint than some. I could go on but...

I would really like to see quality conventional hunting scopes, especially fixed powers and lower magnification variables.

No Christmas tree reticles, 30mm tubes, illuminated reticles, exposed turrets...blah blah blah!

This is the same argument...and likely the same demographic, who whines and monas because hey can't go to the dealership and buy a base model, 4 cylinder, 4x4 pickup with manual windows and transmission, when in reality, 7 people would buy such a thing, and the manufacturer would lose money.

If the kind od scopes you are describing were an in-demand item, evert scope manufacturer on the planet would sell them. The reality is, no one is buying 1" tube, fixed power and low magnification scopes with duplex reticles....and they haven't for a long time. Guess what.....no one is buying gloss or silver scopes, either...

Guess what...I believe I have a pretty good understanding of the economics of manufacturing, distribution, sales etc etc...do you? If you don't, limited runs of "specialty" products can be made w/o bankrupting a company. Been there, seen that.

And yeah, I'm the same f****** demographic that's worked full time all my life, paid taxes all my life, paid my own way all my life and can get close enough to elk, moose, bear, bighorn, whitetail, mule deer, and pronghorn to kill them with a simple 4x scope.
