This was clearly written by a liberal. They didn't shoot or shovel but we'll see if they shut up.

Officials in Oregon are asking for public assistance to locate the person or persons responsible for poisoning eight wolves in the eastern part of the state earlier this year.

The Oregon State Police has been investigating the killing of all five members of the Catherine Pack in Union County, plus three other wolves from other packs, the agency said in a news release Thursday.

“To my knowledge this is the first wolf pack to be killed by poison in Oregon,” said Capt. Stephanie Bigman of the OSP in Salem. “To my knowledge there are no suspects. All investigative leads have been exhausted and that is why we are reaching out to the public for assistance.”

Wolf advocates were stunned by the news.

“This is horrific,” said Sristi Kamal of Defenders of Wildlife in Portland. “This is quite clearly an intentional and repeat offense.”

Oregon has only about 170 wolves within its borders, and the loss of eight “is so egregious,” Kamal said.

“The poisoning of the Catherine wolf pack is tragic and disgusting” said Sophia Ressler, a staff attorney at the Center for Biological Diversity. “No wolf should have to suffer such a fate. Awful events like this show how much more work is needed for us to coexist with these vitally important animals."

Sristi seems to be really broken up, wonder how many wolves she ever saw growing up in India.....

I'm sure the crooks with the FBI will find plenty of time to investigate this but are always unwilling to investigate fellow crooks like Biden or the Clintons or the DNC.

Invasive species brought in by Clinton's to control game populations so people would no longer need to hunt. Giving them another excuse to ban guns. Shooting elk is cruel but the thought of elk being torn apart by an invasive species gives lefties the warm fuzzies.

This is terrible news...simply one of the worst things I've read about lately. I'm having such a hard time coming to terms with just how devastating this really is..
To think that there are "only" about 170 more wolves in Oregon well.....that's at least 200 too many. Something should be done about it. SSS.

BurleyBoy is right on. The stated purpose of the introduction was to reduce game animals to the level where hunting would have to be stopped. That comes right from the anti's, not from hunters. I read it in one of their own publications years ago.

The anti-hunters are so screwed up in the head that they prefer to have animals torn apart by wolves than to have them quickly dispatched by a hunter's bullet.

I said this same thing when they introduced them in Yellowstone National Park. I could have shot one in 2002 in the breaks of the Imnaha river. A Bitch with two pups with no collar and regret it to this day.
