My brother Charlie (348srfun) and I, doing business as Twin Blades, have decided to stop taking custom orders. We will only be making the knives we want to make and selling those. We have been making knives full time since 2002 and are going to back off some and play with our grand children and do some fishing and hunting for a change. We will still be making some knives and doing two knife shows a year. We just don't want the pressure of feeling like we have to work on knives every day.

We really appreciate those that have supported us over the 20 years of making a couple of thousand knives and we hope to see you at the ICCE knife show in Fort Worth and The Blade Show in Atlanta. We are both heavily involved with The Knifemaker's Guild and hope to continue along those lines.

I thought I'd show a picture of the last custom order I just completed. It went to a lady that said she was going to use it in hunting mushrooms.

I follow several makers on Instagram.

Seems a lot are going that route.

From what I’ve seen of your work, you’ll have no problem selling “stock” knives.

Beautiful! Enjoy those grandchildren Harry.

Up to my neck in Christmas orders right now.

Exactly what we’ve been doing for the last 20 years. I didn’t think it would feel this good to be free from that rush. It’s going to be nice to be able to look at knife making as a hobby that we love to do rather than a business.

Good luck this afternoon! The Dogs have worked hard and waited a long time for this shot! I hope this is their year!
