OP 01Foreman400 Campfire Regular 0 Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 2,289 Likes: 1 Georgia	This is my 18th season of shooting Barnes bullets. I’ve never recovered one in 80+ kills. I’ve shot deer with my .223, 6.5 CM, .270, 270 WSM, 300 WM, 300 WSM, 7mm-08, 30-06, 44 mag, 7 mag and my muzzleloader. I know my experience is lacking compared to some of the hunters we have on here but just wanted to share some pictures of the bullet with you all. The edges are really sharp as well. This is a 250 gr. T-EZ muzzleloader bullet. Going to have my taxidermist epoxy it to the plaque on the mount. I’d say that’s 100 weight retention as well minus the blue polymer tip. You ain't about that life.

cas6969 Campfire Regular Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 956	I have a big pile of recovered Barnes bullets, 300gr .411s @ at a hair shy of 2700fps. The trick is to shoot em in the right place. That's usually a 30 gallon rubermade container full of sand.

I’ve never recovered one either. 25-400 yard kills. 168 ttsx out of 06.only bullet I recovered is a finishing shot on a bull and dug the bullet out. It lost one pedal and I think it was due to hitting a rock. Tough as nails ! All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.
