This is my 18th season of shooting Barnes bullets. I’ve never recovered one in 80+ kills. I’ve shot deer with my .223, 6.5 CM, .270, 270 WSM, 300 WM, 300 WSM, 7mm-08, 30-06, 44 mag, 7 mag and my muzzleloader. I know my experience is lacking compared to some of the hunters we have on here but just wanted to share some pictures of the bullet with you all. The edges are really sharp as well. This is a 250 gr. T-EZ muzzleloader bullet. Going to have my taxidermist epoxy it to the plaque on the mount. I’d say that’s 100 weight retention as well minus the blue polymer tip.

Nice recovery, bullet looks like it came from a magazine ad.

Great pics, bullet looks postcard worthy . I have only recovered two through the years, a MZL bullet like yours and a 223 that hit many bones . They worked as advertised .

Nice!
I've shot a lot of stuff with X, TSX and TTSX and never recovered one yet.

I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all.

I have a big pile of recovered Barnes bullets, 300gr .411s @ at a hair shy of 2700fps.

The trick is to shoot em in the right place. That's usually a 30 gallon rubermade container full of sand. smile

Beautiful!
I’ve never recovered one either. 25-400 yard kills. 168 ttsx out of 06.only bullet I recovered is a finishing shot on a bull and dug the bullet out.
It lost one pedal and I think it was due to hitting a rock.
Tough as nails !

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Great picture and looks like a sales ad photo

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....
