I recently acquired a 300 Win Mag by Zastava imported by Interarms in Alexandria, VA. Bluing is deep and clean, but the wood stock looks like they tried to split it for kindling. Big crack in tang and down cheekpiece. I am looking for a replacement. Any assistance, offers, or leads would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Ebay for wood, should be plenty. Or look for a used McMillan.

My experience of old in buying used stocks other than for such as quite standard military or sporting models w/metal unaltered. Springfield 03 or 17 Enfield; Winchester pre 64 Model 70 "Standard" or "Featherweight", all good potential! Otherwise... Seeming never to fit properly without gaps. Differing barrel diameters and contours within the same generic models, a principal bugger! If for "shooter", one matter as perhaps "with stock filler" potentially noticeable. Where aesthetics matter, I've never achieved a really good "non-factory" substitute. Hope your experience is better, 101! Best!' John

If you are set on the current stock but it's busted, then get it duplicated.

Richards Microfit Stocks. They require a bit for work but look nice. I'm working on one now for a Interarms.

Did you find a stock? I have a laminate off of a Charles Daly Zastava. I'll dig it out and get a pic.It is a monte carlo with a thick pad. Lighter color.

These are the same as the Remington 783 Zastava rifles.
