The modern Finn Classic is a nice set up with multiple options for chambering and spare barrels, it would be pretty easy to put together a heavy O/U 9.3x74R double rifle, 12ga/30/06 combo and a 12ga O/U travel set. There are any number combo guns available, I have ones set up for coyote hunting BRNO12ga/22 HP-12ga/12ga and a Bernardelli12ga/5.6x50R Mag. The search is almost as much fun as shooting one. A starting place. https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...drilling-combination-guns.c290_p1_o6.cfm

Winchester 101 Grand European?
Nothing from Russia. The IZH-94 that I had was heavy junk.

I looked at the winchester combo's a while back because I wanted the 30-06 but I was told the accuracy of the winchesters was terrible ---double gun sells the 512 series for about $2000 in many calibers.I've stopped looking since my 22 savage high power and 308 barrels really give me all I need.

The Winchester Grand European was an abomination. What the Japs didn't know about building a combination gun is about 99% what goes into a decent combo. They weren't regulated and can't be regulated.

I have been wanting a Blaser BBF 95 or 97 for a while. They are every bit as nice and accurate as the K95 rifles IMO.

I was looking into the same thing awhile back. The Valmet/FinnClassic rifles seemed like the lowest cost option still with quality but were somewhat heavy and awkward. Besides the Blasers, I was looking at the Merkel B3 and Heym 26B as options. I was specifically looking for rfiles with sngle triggers as opposed to double for this rifle's purpose. Guess I still want one!

Seriously on a combo gun two triggers are the way to go, you never have to deal with a barrel selector, with two triggers you always have the weapon ready whether you want to use the rifle or shotgun. I can't see any situation where a single trigger would be better than two, please enlighten me.

Yeah I have to agree with Eric --I have 2 receivers 1 is single trigger and the other has 2---I pretty much always use the double trigger one when I'm hunting

Understood. I just realized that I was looking at double rifle barrel versions as opposed to rifle/shotgun combos that were the subect of the question. My bad. I was wanting a smaller caliber, non-dangerous game double rifle with a single trigger that basically functioned like a two shot semiauto without having to switch triggers. Agree with the advantages of two triggers on combos.

I have one that was marketed by Remington many years ago as the SPR-94. Is nothing more than a Baikal IZH-94 223/12ga. it actually shoots quite well, it is a bit heavy but the big down side is the 10# triggers. and I cant find a gunsmith that wants to touch the triggers. Picked up a Baikal IZH-94 308/12ga a couple years ago for a good deal.............WOW what a POS. at 40yds the rifle and shotgun were 5 feet apart in point of impact, unloaded it as fast as possible !!!!!!

This old Savage 24V has worked for decades. 22 hornet over 12 ga.. Hornet is good for turkey and prairie dogs out to 150 yards. I even bought a 45-70 insert barrel for the 12 gauge barrel. Plenty accurate for deer at 100 yards.

Savage made a few 12ga 24V guns just before going to the "F" series. The 12ga 24V is a rare gun, but they were made.

The guy who bought it from me knew that he could make it shoot, but he was wrong. He was so frustrated by it that he bought a second one that he found to be equally inaccurate.

I have a 24 matte finished 223/20 with a syntheitc stock and forearm that are stamped "Savage Model 24", no V or F. Maybe it was a transition sort of thing.
