First time out with this ntm Remington 572
Only had one other one before this, quite a few years back.
This came from Gunbroker. Texas rifle. Turns out is a rather scarce Lightweight model.
Bubba and his can of varnish have already gotten to the stock.
The factory finish has chipped off in quite a few places, especiall on the barrel.
i cannot read any date info because the stampings are washed out with metal finish.
The scope is a Sears 3x fixed, USA made. Weaver I'm told. By the time you are reading this that scope will be off and be replaced by a small 4x that is on a Nylon 66 at the moment.
Shoots Mini Mags into about 3" at 50 yards. Lost of easy improvements available.
150 rounds, including speed shooting, no malfunctions.
I like this rifle!
It is from the time that Remington was more obsessed with making rifles more than profits.
