Bought these Elk stag grips on Ebay. Took a little filling to get them to go on. Unfortunately there is a place on the upper grip where too much was previously removed . But there are just a couple of places I'll have to sand to get flush with the grip frame.

Those look very nice. Make your Colt look even better, if that’s possible. I like stag grips and Elk “stags” are almost affordable. 😁
Sambar stag grips have become the new ivory.
Recently got a set of Elk stags for my S&W 25-5. Really dresses it up. Put on a Tyler T-Grip since this picture was taken.

Very nice! Really dresses that Colt. Not that it needed it.

Smith and Wesson 25-13 with Grashorn elk antler grips, brass Tyler T adapter, Purdy leather, Jawbone damascus skinner with elk antler handle. Excuse the quality of the picture, I took this picture off my computer monitor.

Thanks for the kind words from everyone. And I've enjoyed all the pics.

Now I just need to save up and send it back to Colt to switch out the barrel for a 4 3/4" one.

I put a set of Sanbar Stag grips with S & W medallions on my 4" M/629 no dash, they're the envy of everyone who sees that revolver. Patrick Grasshorn makes some really fine elk stag grips, I've had several sets.

For the life of me, I can't see the allure of medallions. Baffles me why anyone would want those fugly, commemorative coin looking discs inlet into their nice stags or ivories.....Hell, for THAT matter, even on wood or plastic.

might as well engrave advertising billboards all over them, baby....

I intentionally bought a colt new frontier with walnut grips, instead of the more common black plasticy things most of them wear. I loved the wood, hated the frickin' bus tokens. So much so, I dumped the medallion grips for cheap, ebay fake ivories. At least now, I don't have to look at little coins.....

I even dumped the ruger chickhawk medallion panels for plain wood...
