A girl I knew and lived near, Rhetta , was engaged to marry Danny Joe Brown lead singer Molly Hatchet. They were in a bad car wreck, I think the passenger side where she was sitting was struck, never heard the details first-hand. Anyway she was an up & coming kind of country/rock singer, tall very pretty, built like a brick-schit-house, very down to earth girl about 19 years old at the time. I had moved to Biloxi came home to Lebanon, Ohio maybe 2 years ? after Rhetta & DJB accident, early 80's. Our little group of friends were meeting out that night the girls were bringing Rhetta out for a bit, I didn't recognize her. Heavy brain damage is a horrible thing, a beautiful life snatched away. Tried to find info. about it online, couldn't find a word spoke of it.
Rhetta came to my brother and my apartment to hang out quite a lot, it was party central. She came in once and said Oh there's one of those stuck in our roof, said my Dad's pissed. She was talking about the arrow that was missing from my first Compound Bow. Mike Doyle was drunk and took my bow outside while I was at work and sent one off and gone in a subdivision. It hit Rhetta's family home about 125 yards away. She didn't tell her Dad where the arrow came from. Over

Marshall Tucker played the piano at my wife’s grandparents church back in the day. Marshall and his wife are were both blind so my wife’s grandparents would take them to church often. He was somewhat of a local celebrity and a nice man. I’ll go with MT!
Not for me. Molly Hatchet is easily one of my favorite bands. I'm not sure I could name a Marshall Tucker Band tune. I come to southern rock from the metal side, not from the country side.

MTB for me. Saw them mid seventies @ Texas Stadium. MTB, Joe Walsh and Barnstorm, Elvin Bishop, Allman Brothers Band. Greatest concert I’ve ever attended. But I do like Molly Hatchet…a lot!
