We currently have 2 labs, Mother and daughter. Daughter just had her first litter (we are not breeders but really enjoy having puppies around occasionally). So the stated intention of this litter was to sell them all, i.e. NOT keep one. BUT... now my wife is giving me the guilt trip that we should really keep one. She's fallen in love with one of the little females. (shoot me now). So who has more than 2 dogs in the home? Would you do it again? 3 here, and I like that number.
Old one is the queen(king depending), the middle one the teacher, the youngest is the fun one learning the ropes. And so on as time passes and replacements come along.
But, I'd have more if I could.

Airedale bitch, 75sh pounds.
Male and female Yorkie in the 8-10# range and a 14# weiner/terrier cross.
Had a 5th, wifes grandma passed so we had her dog for a few weeks. Luckily mother took her.
4 is too many if they are bigger. Not sure but I think 2 big dogs would be my fill.
The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!

But, I'd have more if I could. This. As a kid my buds dad had coon hounds, running hounds, beagles and an occasional bird dog. We had a house dog and a few bird dogs. If we had more rabbits or birds I would have a couple more although they would probably be outside in a kennel.

Mom's 65 lbs on a fat day. Grandma is more like 80. The one my wife wants is going to be on the larger side. (They are charcoals and silvers in case anyone was wondering about the color)
I totally get some people don't have/want dogs. My question is for those that have multiple though.

I have 2 chocolate labs, 13 yr old Male and his 8 yr old sister, both were fixed early on. About 4 years ago I split them up and sent the older one to my sisters place, as the younger dog was just accelerating his stress level. The younger one can be a hell bitch.........
But shes my hell bitch and reacts very well to her sport dog 425 collar.
