An unfortunately true story...my mom wanted to name me Mike. My dad, who always liked to screw up peoples' names, forbade it, saying "everyone will call him Mike the Kike." What he didn't take into account was his/my/our last name, which is so easily turned into a variation of "dork" that no one ever bothered to tease me about the first name.

I go by Chuck, for Charles, most of the time. I’m a junior, but my father was always Charlie.
My wife is Susan. Up in our home town, most people call her Sue, but the ones who’ve known her since since she was a little girl call her Susie still. (I usually call her Susie.) Down her, people always call her Susan.
My MIL had 4 brothers who were all known by their middle names to the extent that a lot of people who’ve known them for years don’t realize it.
I have a son, a grandson and a stepson all with the same name. We refer to them as J1, J2 and J3.

Always gone by Mark Learned to answer to "Mike", "Shubert", "Mike", "Sherbert", and many foul terms. Many of which led to fisticuffs. After our first date, my future FIL asked what my name was - the answer was "Mike something like ice cream."

No middle name, only an initial. From the era of Harry S. Truman. Go by first and last initial. Same here (L) Go By Ron,mom still calls me Ronnie.

An old man I knew had a daughter marry a guy whose last name was Barr.
First kid was a girl, Francis kick and fought, but she named her Candy.
A boy came next, he recommended Clark since she had already
screwed the daughter.
The boy but lucky and they were a bit smarter.
