South Dakota Whitetail #16726690 12/15/21 Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 1,652 SoDak S Sharps1874 OP Campfire Regular OP Sharps1874 Campfire Regular S Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 1,652 SoDak I caught up with this Old Boy on November 26th in a big pasture. Shot was 225 yards with my old Remington 722 in 300 Savage.

Picture #2 really shows how nice a buck he is. If I'm not mistaken you still have a vintage Redfield on your Rem 722.....you really hold onto stuff. If it works it works...the proof in your pictures.

Yes, the scope is a Redfield 6X "Bear Cub" with a thin wire and dot. The Old girl has killed it's share of Deer and Elk, never felt undergunned or scoped using this rig. Just have to know it's limitation.....get closer!!
