I caught up with this Old Boy on November 26th in a big pasture.
Shot was 225 yards with my old Remington 722 in 300 Savage.

Wow!! Picture #2 really shows how nice a buck he is. If I'm not mistaken you still have a vintage Redfield on your Rem 722.....you really hold onto stuff. If it works it works...the proof in your pictures.

Yes, the scope is a Redfield 6X "Bear Cub" with a thin wire and dot. The Old girl has killed it's share of Deer and Elk, never felt undergunned or scoped using this rig. Just have to know it's limitation.....get closer!!

Well done ... and with a .300 Savage. I've known several hunters who've killed a lot of deer and elk with a .300 Savage.
