No biggie. I smoke the mould interior with a candle and start casting.

Or just clean it to get all of the oil off of it.

Warm it up and cool it down a few times by casting some lead.

It should start to make good bullets about the 5th or 6th fill up.

Just make sure it is heated up before you start casting.

I always clean a new mold really well with a product like Gun Scrubber, then after it dries, get it hot and start casting. As has been said, after a few fillings you will start getting good bullets.

How is that new mold working out for you? That is my all time favorite 44 Special and magnum mold. I’ve probably shot 10,000 or more of them over the years.

Generally I clean a new mold with brake cleaner, alcohol, soap and water .. truly get all the oil possible out of it. Heat to just above 200 degrees and hold for a while to cook off any water drops. Then I'll either smoke it with a candle or use a light film of release agent. Start casting. Once it's up to temp, it's just like any other mold.

Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.

PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.
