The old man has one of these he's wanting to part with and asked me to figure out its value. He rates it at 90 percent. It was manufactured in 64 so I assume it would be considered a post 64.

I owned the first one that ever came into the Midwest. I bought it in Osoffs in Omaha NE. I traded a Rem 722 in .222 caliber for it. If anyone knows where this .222 would be, I would make it worth there while. I put 2000 rounds through that Post 64 .243 and my best group was a 5 shot 5/16th inch group at just shy of 100 yds. I shot a ton of fox and coyotes with that rifle. I sold it to a friend before I went into basic training with B and L scope and all the goodies for $125.00. The 722 had a Bausch and Lomb 4X on it. This all brings back a lot of memories.
