Tuseday morning about 3 am a friends little 6 month old baby girl died.She had been sick for a day or two,they had taken her to the Dr.The Dr told them if she got worse to bring her back and if she went to the ER to have them to call(this was Monday)
Around midnight she was worse so they went to the ER,They told them it was just colic and to go home,they did not call the Dr.
At 3 am she stop breathing and that was it............
Here is the thing that gets me,the atopsy said the cause of death was an enlarged heart.The heart was the size of a 20 year old.How could they miss this when the child was alive and going to the Dr for check ups?
The scary part the Dr is my 3 month olds Dr.....are was!!!!!
Please keep them in your prayers............

Oh my goodness...  I just had lunch today with our new grandson and his parents, so this stabs me in the heart even harder than it would otherwise. I can't even begin to know how those parents feel! I do believe that losing a child must be the worst pain anyone can feel. And can you imagine how that doctor must feel? He also has to live with that for the rest of his life. Even if there is nothing he could have done, he will always feel as though there should have been, or he somehow should have known. May God comfort all of them, and give them His peace. Penny

Wow--six months. That's considerable. A friend of mine had his daughter die after just a few days of life, and when I was a lad we thought we were going to lose my baby sister or my mother or both (neither, as it turned out); but six months is definitely long enough to get acquainted.
