Happy Holidays to all, I was recently delighted to locate my old Benjamin 22 caliber air rifle from my childhood. It has been refurbished and re-blued and I am hoping that someone could give me the different pump velocities of it. My mom used to get very mad at me when I would shoot her clothes pins off the clothesline. I was a pretty good shot when I was 12 years old. I also remember the pellet going through a "Tin" beer can very easily. My question to you is, what is the velocity of one pump, three pumps, five pumps, eight pumps and 10 pumps which was always my maximum. Perhaps you could direct me somewhere to find these particulars. Thank you for your help. Whipsey PS new info. I found the model. It is a "Benjamin Franklin 312" I realized I could use my RCBS powder scale and averaged 3 pellets to be 14.5 gr. 🤗👍

Probably really similar to my old Sheridan Silver Streak 5mm. Sure it took some effort for a then ten year old to pump that thing up to 10 max, but it shot 2 or 3 pumps just fine down the basement. I wasn't into lifting weights at that age, but pumping that Sheridan sure did wonders for a young kid's shoulders. We fed the cat breast of blackbird with that pellet gun and if I needed more than 700 fps, I always knew where there was a .22 that shot CB caps, short, long and long rifle ammo.
My other auto is a .45

Now I have a new question about my old Benjamin Sheridan 312 model. I'm hoping to find a scope that will fit my rear sight dovetail for amounting. Any suggestions? Thank you, Whispey
I've got a Mac-1 steroid 392 that I haven't shot in probably 15 years. Too much work pumping the damned thing up for a fun afternoon of plinking but it will spit a 14.5 grain pellet out at about 830 fps with 14 pumps.
Killed many a jackrabbit with my old brass barreled 312. The barrel separated and despite some folks best stabs no one has been able to stick it. The seals need replacing and the barrel is worn out to the point it won't group Benjamin pellets but will the lighter Daisy. Dang those Benjamin pellets were like hammers on birds.

WhipseY, unless you have wrists on you like an NFL linebacker, a scope is going to go right at the point where you hold your off hand to pump that rifle. Been there and done that with an old C6 Weaver on my Sheridan. I've been way happier with a Williams peep sight on mine that nearly doubled the sighting radius. I know, older eyes and iron sights, but that is a fairly short range pellet gun.
