I've got a Model Seven Predator that I'm putting in a McMillan edge stock and want to setup for a semi light weight do anything from varmints to deer and I'd like to be able to shoot a honest 500-600yds with it. Whats a good 30mm scope that's semi compact with a high end of say 12 power that has something like leupolds cds? I've never had a "knob turning" scope but I'd like to be able to range and dial to be dead on with no guessing. Sorry for my ignorance on the subject that's why I'm here asking. Thanks for any suggestions and help. If it matters it's chambered in 243 Winchester.

I have 3 Model 7 Predators. The 223 and the 22-250 both have Bushnell 3200 5X15's, and the 243 has a Redfield Revolution 4X12.

I want to be able to zero the scope and dial for 500-600. I know people here hate on leupold but something with the cds sounds appealing.

I'll take (10) etched Mil's on the reticle, another 40+ on the erector,a 7mm exit pupil,10yds parallax,20 ounces of "mass" and an unrivaled ability to hold zero and track. Hint

If only for fhuqking starters. Hint.............
