I picked up my M&P 4” 10mm with no safety today. I am mpressed with the ergonomics so far. I mounted a Swampfox Liberty rd dot on it and it handles nicely. Changed the blackstrap to the Med-Large and it feels good. Can’t wait to shoot it

Whats the capacity?

15+1.

I am an M&P fan but all of mine are 9mm. 15+1 of 10 mm is for sure a lot of fire power.

How is the trigger?

It is definitely different. It has a little of take up but the reset is a lot shorter from what I can tell without shooting it

Most of the reviews I have watched complain about a weak reset.

Is this on the .45 ACP frame?

Was interested in one of these until I found Vihtavouori load data with N105 for the 40 S&W (200gr 200gr TMJ at 1,076 fps). Already have the 40 S&W. Recently picked up 2 lbs of N105 and have Mt Bul Wks 200gr WFN but haven't gotten around to testing.

My M&P40c 2.0 has the best casehead support of any pistol I've owned. I wouldn't have any qualms about pushing 200gr WFN to 1000+ fps.
Only downside is that heavier recoil springs are only available from Galloway Precision (at least as far as I know).

Complaints about reset are easily solved by not shooting to reset. No one teaches that anymore, and once you stop worrying about it, everything becomes easier. I have M&Ps with stock triggers, M&Ps with Performance Center triggers, M&Ps with Apex triggers, Glocks with stock and enhanced triggers...and they all shoot just fine once you stop looking for something that doesn't matter.

It is on the 45 frame and fits their holsters perfectly. Pretty light while unloaded. I will have to see how heavy it is when it has 15 rounds of 200 gr ammo in it

Have not found any on the shelves locally. S&W is going to sell a lot of these.

I managed to snag one of the first ones in the Tristate here in Cincinnati. Snapped it up immediately as this is the "plastic" 10mm I've been waiting for. It is a SHOOTER! Even with Double Tap 200g WFNGCs, it's entirely manageable and accurate to boot! Two range sessions in the books so far and it is definitely a keeper. I have zero issues with the trigger as it's more than adequate for my purposes. I thought the little "safety shoe" on the trigger might be a bit dainty, but it has turned out to be a non-issue. I was also concerned that the grip panels might be to aggressive in their texture. Another non-issue and I appreciate the purchase they allow for during recoil. Finally, I thought the seemingly tall, co-witness iron sights would be too tall. Once again, I didn't notice and, despite originally thinking I'd have to replace them immediately, will keep it as-is. All in all, very, very pleased with it through about 150 rounds.

200 grains at 1000fps is less than most watered down 10mm ammo. CCI Aluminum Blazer 200gr. is 1050ish for me. 200 grain at 1200fps is where 10mm becomes full power.

I think you kind of took the micro-discussion out of context. The above shows the penetration of 200gr hardcast from the 40sw. My point is that it can achieve plenty of penetration for dealing with Yogi.

True, Several ammo makers only load it toS&W levels. Sig Suaer makes some nice 10mm. Buffalo Bore and others load it to good levels.

While I was in my local gun & pawn emporium yesterday afternoon, I found a 4.6-inch version and after a very short examination period I told them to wrap it up.
I like the M&P and I have the 1.0 and 2.0 so this was an easy sell.
After a quick field strip, clean and lube I put a magazine of 180 grain Magtech FMJ through it out behind the house. No issues.
Not crazy about the co-witness sights and I will be looking to replace then with a solid black rear sight and a green fiber optic or tritium front sight; if anyone has any suggestions, I'd certainly appreciate it.
If anyone knows of a vendor who has any extra magazines available, I'd be grateful for the information.
