Congrats to her and you! You should be very proud of her. Lot of great deer hunting memories from that age range from when I would hunt with dad and being around uncles and cousins that hunted.

Took my grand daughter deer hunting on our CRP ground at the farm and she got her first ever deer. A decent 8 point, weighed 188.6 pounds. I was old enough to vote before I ever got one as good. The weapon she insisted on was my right hand Weatherby Vanguard2 in .223. Couldn't convince her to use her Dad's left hand .308 that I loaded down for her. She shoots left hand and said all she needed was one shot. Wrecked his lungs and put a crease in his heart with a handload 62 grain Hornady HPBT hunting bullet bought in bulk from Midsouth a year or two ago.
Needless to say she is elated and I'm afraid her parents are going to be hit up for a left hand .223. I am trying my best to put up a picture. Yes I'm bragging. Congrats.. Got the nephews son his first buck last night too. Thing is with todays rounds. 223, the correct bullet. If you hit correctly it works. Hit wrong its the same result or missed, same, as if using the 308 etc... Give her a big hug for us! She did great.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
