Yeah, I know, this was already announced in the Lever Action forum but that's not why I'm posting. This is big enough in the gun world that I figured you guys could take a moment out of arguing to see it. A lot of speculation is finally answered. First product is the 1895 SBL in 45-70 with a new serial number range starting with RM. They put the latest popular stuff on it - 19" threaded barrel, 6 lands and grooves (no Micro-groove), rail with a built in peep and FO front with tritium ring. Ruger MarlinThey did change the bullseye from black and white to red and white, so you still got something to cuss'em about.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

They need to fire all the gay boys working in their design department.

I do well with a peep. My eyes aren't good enough for buckhorns any more.

Fiber optic dot with tritium ring front sight for quicker target acquisition in low light, paired with an updated rail system. Nickel-plated bolt with spiral flutes adds a distinctive, classy look and a smoother action. Refined stock fit and thinner forend improve aesthetics and ergonomics. Improved finish on the stock and forend and checkered grip panels provide superior grip in all conditions. Threaded barrel, with a match-polished, factory-installed thread protector, has a 11/16" x 24 pattern to accommodate a muzzle brake or other barrel accessories.

Hope th at a 30moa rail. At least. Because every lever needs a rail. $1300.
I love it.

I have a bunch of lever action rifles and don't have 45/70 and surely won't buy one of these.
Life is good live it while you can.
