If they can make barrels that are a uniform, proper diameter all the way through that'll almost be worth the money right there. Thinking that won't be a problem with Ruger's hammer-forged barrels ... from Ruger's website: Barrel is made of 410 stainless steel and is cold hammer-forged which results in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity.

They need to fire all the gay boys working in their design department. What's up with the picadilly rail on a lever gun? For Scout style scope. XS has even selling the same sight/rail set up for 336 and 1895 models for years. This is nothing new.
The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!

I was under the impression that the Marlins could take just about any high pressure cartridge. Am I wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time. Edk They are not. Winchester's Big Bore 94's are stronger. But it doesn't matter in the real world. The 444 Marlin, 45-70 and 450 Marlin are plenty enough to get the job done.

I am just asking Yes. SAMMI max pressures are 43,500 psi for the .450 Marlin and 60,000 psi for the .500 S&W.

I would never own a laminated stock..ugly AF.
Due to the increased price of ammo, don't expect a warning shot...

Looks like a nice rifle. I'm not a fan of the top rail for looks. They do fill their purpose well. The loop is a little large, for my taste! Nothing I am in a market for. I only have three lever guns. Marlin 39, Winchester 94 30WCF and my favorite lever 99 Savage in .300 savage! The oldest grandson is drooling over this new Ruger-Marlin.

Appears the overall length and barrel length has been increased 1/2 inch to accommodate the threaded barrel/thread protector.
Rifle may be around a half pound or more lighter than the older versions.
Don't ask me about my military service or heroic acts...most of it is untrue.

That safety is the safest way to unload a lever action.I like its looks. How ever have no need for a 45/70.I could give a chit about the stupid bullseye.
Its all right to be white!! Stupidity left unattended will run rampant Don't argue with stupid people, They will drag you down to their level and then win by experience

It will be interesting to see how this affects the astronomical prices of existing Marlin 1895 SBL's. I did a quick search on gunbroker and the top bid for one NIB is $3,125 with about 13 hours to go, next highest is $2,776 with 6 days to go. Lowest bid on any of them is still over $2000 for used ones.
These Rugers will probably sell for over MSRP for a while. Heck, even if they're $500 over that's still cheaper than what folks are paying for the older ones.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
