I have a Belgium made Browning A5 born in 1976. It is the 3” Magnum model, 28” Ribbed barrel. Very good condition. Has one scratch on the barrel in front of the fore end and a small mark on the left side of the stock.

Trade for Rifle in 6.5 CM or 220 Swift + or - cash

Choke tube measures .6855 which is correct for a full choke I believe.

You have a cash price? You can pm me if you'd like. I have a 6.5 Credd but not 100% sure I want to trade. My Grandfather gave me this same gun in 30" barrel and I killed my first turkey with it when I was in school. It then got stolen and I've never replaced it. I'm always kind of on the lookout for one.

I'd rather do a trade, what kind of 6.5 CM do you have? You sure your not interested in trading it?

John can you post some pictures of the underside of the grip checkering. I am curious if the grip area border comes to a diamond point in the grip area or continues across the grip to the other side, making a continuous grip area border.

Also, can you verify the DOM using this serial number information from Browning?

A '76 would be flat knob and Japanese manufacture, not the round knob style grip shown. I think you may have a '66 year model or at the least, pre-67 furniture. They changed the checkering in the grip area '65 and went to a flat knob in late '66 or early '67, I have seen and owned both. A letter V after the first number from '58 thru '76 would denote the Magnum version shotguns.

Thanks
