anybody bought one of these, particularly the 3-12x50mm model, from europtics lately? just wondering if the newer ones with the illuminated L3 dot has segmented lines with a dot in the center kinda like ___.___ or is it a continuous thin crosshair without dot visible until illum is turned on. i've heard of em being made both ways in the past is why i ask. Sorry, I can't say on the L3. I can say that the P3L has a break from the main mildot to the illuminated section...so it is segmented. I've been using one of these for a couple of weeks now and it's really well done for a FFP reticle. I like it well enough I broke down and picked up a second one. Anyone looking for a decent deal on a reliable, well designed, illuminated, FFP reticle in a scope that isn't overly heavy might want to consider the following before the sale ends (12/31) or they run out of stock: https://www.eurooptic.com/S-B-Hunting-3-12x42-30mm-645-811-882-05-05A02.aspxEdited to add link to different versions on sale: https://www.eurooptic.com/Schmidt-Bender-Klassik-Holiday-Sale.aspx

My 3-12x50, the dot is not broken from the crosshair. It works extremely well. Best of luck

I have had several of each and cannot tell a difference between the two Other then the lettering on the scope tube. Little do the S&B snobs know that their glass factory is located in Hungary.

There are two kinds of "Schmidt and Bender snobs" ones that own Schmidt and Bender scopes and the ones that wish they owned them.

I buy S&B because they are bullet proof scopes, and have best glass in class and they stay sighted in year after year even their lower cost scopes.

No some of the Hungarian models were imported by Dealers like Camerland in the past, but now as all SB are imported by Europtic. I have seen them carry Hungarian ones as well.

Hope this clarifies Hungarian S&B. They(S&B) make all Glass in Hungary, the scopes are made in the Hungarian plant and sent to Germany for QC. Europtic is the sole distributor for S&B now. I purchased my Hungarian Classic thru Cumberland when they were a dealer and they had it drop shipped from a Warehouse in Georgia , that was 3 years ago. Hungarian scopes come in along with the German S&B scopes . They are fully warranted by S&B and no the scope doesn't have to go back to Germany for repair. They have the absolute best CS in the optics world and they are serviced in Virginia. I've only had one return after owning 1/2 dozen of them and it was because I bought it used and the previous owner tried pH-ucking around with the turret. They fixed it the same day they got it and sent it out that day UPS to my home. Took longer for UPS to deliver both ways..
