I bought a clean FEG Hi Power clone last year. I ordered a BHP Solutions barrel for it since the FEG has the original "humped style" feed ramp. I've already replaced the springs, removed the magazine safety, and installed G10 grips. Magazines drop free, it has white dot sights, and the trigger isn't bad at all. I was considering a new SA-35 but I'm pleased with my FEG. I handled a S&W M&P 2.0 compact 9mm Tuesday and it felt as good as a Hi Power to me. Since the FEG is close to the same overall size and the weight difference isn't a problem, I plan to stay with the FEG.

I had a PJK-9HP back in the late '80s. I never had any issues with it, although I did break an extractor when I tried to swap it over to .41 AE. It was a good shooting pistol. I shot it pretty hard those years. I changed out the sights (those Millett sights popular back then) and removed the mag safety. It was a pretty nice gun, really, although I did have to remove the bottom of the ring hammer to keep it from eating my hand (that was also a popular modification back in those days), and dropped in an extended safety.
It wasn't much to look at, but it shot well and I liked it a lot. Something else came along, and I swapped it off for somethingorother.

I really like mine. Some were finished just as good as the older Brownings

The BHP Solutions barrel came today. Dropped in and fits fine. I like how it's throated. Mine doesn't have the rough looking machining.

I like the looks of that barrel. I bought one too. Be Well, RZ.

On my FEG I have aftermarket grips that are not an exact fit but work fine. Both have aftermarket ambi safeties now. The only thing I know is not the same is the slide release. FEG with VZ grips. Browning

Yep, that slide release is definitely different. I wonder why they made it so different from the Hi Power.

The Hi Power's milled out area for the slide stop is quite large and has the "shield" to keep crud out. I like the FEG style more.
