There is a used T/C Dimension for sale at a local gun shop, and it has a 7mm-08 barrel on it. It is in relatively good shape, and the price doesn't seem too bad, but before deciding on buying it, I wanted to see if anyone here has real-world experience with one of them, and what the pros/cons are with them, and if its worth the trouble of buying, or should I save my money? I am aware that the Dimension is no longer being made, and that T/C is currently being sold by Swith and Wesson. Thanks in advance for any and all advice, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all!

P.S. -Not sure if the barrel changing tool was included, but if not it's not a big issue because the 7mm-08 is one of my favorite cartridges and I probably wouldn't be swapping the barrels around anyway.

I have one with .223 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrels.

It shoots well. I have two magazines for each caliber, and they are getting hard to find. The trigger is actually pretty nice. Not a "junky, cheap" feeling action when working the bolt, but not Tikka smooth.

The .223 barrel is 1/12 twist. Not ideal for some, fine for coyotes for me. The 6.5 shoots better than my Howa 6.5, but both shoot 3/4-1" with everything I've tried.

The stock is not "traditional" looking, but fits me well and is not a flimsy POS like on my Ruger American Ranch.

I can remove the barrel, replace it, and not have zero shift using the T/C tool. I don't use the "bridge" scope rails.

Goalie, which scope mounts do you use? I did a search and saw that Talley makes scope bases for the Dimension; if I were to buy the rifle, those would be what I would get for it. For the record, the rifle that I am looking at has a rear weaver-style base but not the front one.

If you buy it, and are going to not be switching, I'll send you a bridge mount rail. I just use a Weaver/picatinny rail and rings.
