White Christmas here as usual but bare spots in some areas. Were up to 18" snow on level but after 2 warm spells about 4" now. Critters happy as its easier for them to find food. Highs near 30*F warm for this time of year.

It's warmed up, ....... only -28, but haven't seen the sun for a few days, ..... typical for Xmas. Folks are starting to drive on the ice and a couple ice roads opened up for 15,000 lbs., so at least 30" of ice!

We had the best Christmas present of all--almost two inches of fairly gentle rain! You remember, that water that falls out of the sky? if this keeps up we might even have a quail season next fall....

5-10" of wet snow due here today. Powerlines will be down all over from the weight of the snow. Very frustrating. All utilities should be underground.
