Another vintage knife I’m listing for my hunting partner, and it’s not one you’re going to see every day.
It’s a Buck #184 Survival Knife, dating from the 1970s I believe. HEAVY 7 1/4” blade, notched and serrated on the back, Heavy knurled handle with screw-on pommel and chamber inside (empty) where you can store survival essentials (fishing hooks, matches, a good cigar, maybe a condom or three). Blade is marked “BUCK 184< USA PAT PEND”
Includes original sheath (also heavy) with two Velcro pouches, one holding a small Silva compass (included), and one holding a threaded knurled pin that screws into the blade guard (one is included, although I’m told it originally came with two of these).
Condition is very good +. The blade is full and hasn’t been ground or abused, although it does show minor dark stains. The sheath shows use, but it is complete and would display well.
If you’ve got questions, please ask. I’m told that this is a knife that’s much sought after by collectors.
Price is $475 shipped in the US ONLY. First solid “I’ll take it “ followed by a PM wins. Payment by PayPal, US Postal Money Order, or personal check (held 10 days).
Thanks,
Rod

Fine knife Sir , you are correct they are very collectible . I believe with that stamp it was made in 1986 if it contained periods between the letters in U.S.A. . The missing grappling hook spike can be found on knife forums at times . Hope this helps .
I was in grade-school when Rambo 1st Blood was in the theater. After that movie (maybe before too) these knives were all over gun show tables and I LUSTED after one. I mean I wanted one worse than Ralphie wanted his Red Ryder!!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane and good luck with your sale.
