Local gun shop had cci 500 pistol primers for a whopping 65.00 per 1000. I picked up a couple. Hoping for the days when they were 20.00. Glad to finally get some!

Yeah, I missed out. Never loaded pistol really. I loaded for a 10mm years ago but had sold it. Always loaded rifle. So now playing catch up. Glad to get some even though the prices are 3x what they use to be.

I paid about the same a few months ago for a brick at a LGS. 32 S&W Long is my primary small game a plinking round, though, and my rifle likes the 500s, so it was just a bite the bullet deal. 🤷♂️

Although I'm in pretty good shape, I think I would have bought a couple at $65 with no hazmat fee. Dollar cost averaging.

I may go back and grab another 2,000, if they have any left. I have been slowly working up a 9mm load for plinking. Ive been using 3.4 N320 and 147 grainers. Want to try N340 for some subsonic loads.

I was in a shop the other day, they had primers for $99/K, I had to pass.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Vista outdoors, who owns CCI, Federal, and a bunch of other companies put out a statement today that there will be no primers in the near future. So don't bet on prices going down anytime soon.

One shop had a few hundred Fed 150M, which I needed, so I grabbed those. Most of them had a fair bit of powder, but no primers. I hit Cabelas on the way back, no primers or powder, but they did have a lot of factory ammo. I did end up grabbing a box of .257 TTSX bullets there.
