Got an air fryer for Christmas.
Anyone have one? How do you like it?
And...I need ideas on what I can cook in it. Can I do ribs in it?
How about steaks and burgers?
Thanks for all feedback!

You can cook anything in it but it works best for chicken. I think of mine as a high powered convection oven.

When all else failed, I read the booklet that came with my air fryer. (GRIN!)
Lots of ideas in this little book!
Going to buy a couple of small steaks and try them in this "contraption"

My neice that lives in a wheelchair has one and cooks the best pork chops I've ever eaten and the most moist tender. She also cooks steaks in it, can't comment on those, did not eat any. As mentioned chicken is great, especially with lemon pepper on it. I've wondered about spam in it. Ought to crisp up really well.

I've done 'shake and bake' chicken and roasted potatoes in mine as well as some frozen stuff like tater tots and fries. Works good. I got mine for Christmas a couple years back and got Air Fryer Cookbook with it. Quite a few recipes in there for meats, potatoes, desserts etc.

We got a new one with several racks / trays instead of a basket, like our old one. These things rock for chicken for sure. We bread chicken breasts to imitate our favorite chicken sandwiches or chicken breast meals from restaraunts. You can also make very crispy fries and tater tots. Make crispy potato products from your own potatoes, much better than the oven and healthier. Chicken fried steak and Chicken fried chicken would also rock. My first impressions are to replace anything that would normally be fried in oil with this oven.

Frozen hash brown patties, re-heating pizza or anything else fried. Those are the first that came to mind.
Know fat, know flavor. No fat, no flavor.
I tried going vegan, but then realized it was a big missed steak.

Most have different setting, baskets and what not for different foods. I use mine for chicken and that’s about it.
Whole chickens, wings, legs…..all come out killer.
If it wasn’t for cooking chicken, I’d of chucked mine long ago.

Have had two. Both crapped out in less than a year of very light use.

Our air fryer gets a ton of use. The kids love it for frozen fish sticks, chicken nuggets, onion rings, etc.

I use one a good bit. Chicken nuggets, fries that kind of thing mostly. I have found that it works pretty good for cooking boudin too, can't tell much difference from doing it on the grill.

We did some pork chops in the air fryer last night.
Went by instruction book time. They came out well done.
Great flavor, and moist, but over cooked.
Will cut the time down and try some more.
This is going to be a "learning process"
