Clobetasol helps

Dogcatcher- that can't be fun. My grandson had it and e used Gold Bond medicated cream on it. Seemed to help.

Is the dry air making it worse- might suggest a humidifier in the bedroom

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

I got it bad. I use this on the hands where it is the worst. I also find in the winter that lubing up the whole body with this Nutrogena lotion right after drying off from the shower helps prevent it in other spots where it likes to rear its ugly head.

^ Everyday getting out of the shower. I also found using a humidifier and keeping it above 30% in the house helps. It's strange that summer low humidity doesn't cause me any issues.

Eczema around your ankles is very often varicose eczema and responds well to compression sox. JICase.

It takes me full body moisturizing out of the shower, CeraVe on my hands and Clobetasol on the nuisance spots to manage in the winter. I get it on back of calves, my hands/wrists and occasionally in other spots on extremities. If I go some time without moisturizing my whole body then it takes about a week of moisturizing to get back to my "winter normal" where it is well managed.

Keep your total daily sodium intake below 1,000 mg for a week and watch it disappear. You need to actually calculate the sodium in all your food and keep the total below 1,000 mg. Our bodies didn’t evolve to process the amount of sodium we’ve become accustomed to in the modern world.

prescription triamcinolone acetonide cream USP .1%. straight off the jug label. i use it in the winter on my foreams and shins, two places that usually don't have cloth on them 8 months out of the year.

dogcatcher223, there may be some underlying allergy situation causing this. As such, a good dermatologist may be able to figure it out. For me, It was dilitiazem that I suddenly became highly allergic to.

Triamcinolone and desonide are good for general application. However, nothing available out there worked anywhere near as well as Tacrolimus (brand name Protopic). That will require a prescription from your dermatologist. You will be amazed.

For a general over-the-counter cream I recommend Nivea 72-hour Intense Healing. Found that to be the best, and I tried them all. CeraVe isn't bad, but it's a little thin.
