Friend got a Ruger 44 cal carbine tube feed ,said it was made in 79,pretty nice any thoughts on what’s it worth

Pretty close. Hard to find someone that wants to let them go. Great deer rifle and hard to find one in decent shape any less.

I think a 62 mfg is a little more desirable than a 79. The wood is also nicer on the earlier guns. A year-old commonly used gun valuation book showed $850 in 98% condition. They are quite popular and as I said earlier, not that easy to find. I still agree with Ol Mike at around $900. I think $1200 is too high but the seller obviously sets the price.
