I just saw a box of Lapua 6.5PRC brass and was thing of picking it up for my 338 RCM. I actually have enough 338 RCM brass stashed but the thought of Lapua brass is enticing. I have never necked something up as far as .264 to 338. Other than maybe good lube, two steps and tapered expanders is there anything else to be concerned with?

Necking 30 to 338 gave results I didn’t like. I wound up using 358 JEC ink down to 338.

How short will the neck end up being at 264-338?

Man, you found gold when you found 6.5 PRC Lapua branded brass. Wish I could find some of that.

Since 338RCM brass probably won't be available going forward I'm very curious about the feasibility of doing this operation be it Hornady or Lapua brass. Got to keep it running and I don't see why going up wouldn't work.
