Bad - 2 spine fusions, complete shoulder rebuild, mother died.
Good - Daughter got engaged.
Ugly - country fuuccked up

Bad- Mom died, dads got dementia.
Good-finally bought some property (free and clear).
And I finally got a Winchester 1895 in 30-06.
Ugly- idk yet

Bad - They blocked all our vacation at the plant this fall and I had to skip the annual trip to elk camp.
Good - All the overtime and saved vacation days allowed me to book a moose hunt to go back to AK and hunt with an old friend and hopefully kill that branch antlered bull that eluded me all those years I lived up there.
Ugly - I guess is hanging out in the breeze wondering how the vax mandate is going to effect my future employment at my current job. That and watching my Grandmom’s mental decline are probably the two things giving me the most anxiety right now.
No choice but to put your nose to the wind and keep grinding. Life goes on and we have to make the best of it we can.

Good-hip relaced. Hardly any pain after much for 3 years
Bad- Got covid. Rough month. Pulling out of it
Ugly- Every time I look in the mirror
Overall I have a good life. I had to retire because the body was just plain worn out. But these are peaceful times. Best I have had.

Good. Wife and I are still waking up in the morning.
Bad. My dad died, the wife and I both had Covid.
Ugly. The company I've worked for, for 41 years is a sinking ship, glad I don't have much time left on it.

Good: wife retired and I semi-retired while company put me in charge of my department (I'm the boss working part-time - how does that work?  ) Bad: step-daughter went back to old ways with deadbeat drug addict boyfriend we can't seem to make go away - big fuggin mess Ugly: gotta go with OP on country is fugged up and going down the drain

Good = The Family is healthy. Some even survived Covid. My retirement accounts are at all time highs.
Bad = Inflation is up and everybody is out of everything.
Ugly = The mostly peaceful riots complete with looting and burning.
May 2022 be better!

Every year has something good; if you don’t recognize it you’re not looking hard enough. Still live in the greatest country in the history of the world. Have an awesome wife and a great job and kids who are growing up to love God, our family, and their country. Fact is if you’re living in the USA your worst days are better than 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of those lived in human history. Count your blessings. I get the negativity about where the country is headed and agree but keep perspective or you’re a part of the problem.

L65's year makes mine seem paltry.
Coming off covid the first week of Jan., I realized I had a water leak & had no idea for how long.
Coming off covid, good.
Water leak bad.
Ugly, $1800 water bill.
All small change in the grand scheme of things. Hope this year is only that bad.

Everything is good. Kids are killing deer. Writing letters to Santa, asking to kill deer an published in the paper. 15 people at a Christmas party are drinking out of the same mason jar of shine. People are helping neighbors with fallen trees. Kids are still Trick r' Treating and the deer are still rutting.
The sun will rise tomorrow and I refuse to let my attitude be dictated by the enemy.
