I have been given an opportunity to purchase an older savage 114 in 30’06 that is pretty mint from a friend.

I really know nothing about these rifles.

Memento mori ( remember you must die) enjoy every day for tomorrow you may not wake

You can always borrow and pay the money back but you can never get the time back

Everyone hunter should own a fine rifle, life is short.

From what I understand they're a little fancier version of the 110. Probably a little more polished, and walnut vs hardwood. I have a 2004-ish 111FL in 270(left hand hardwood stock) that I'll never part with. Its accurate, balances well, and kills schitt. I imagine the 114 might bring an extra 50 to $100 on the used market, but condition is probably more of a price determined.
