They are fine. I have been to the brick and mortar store in South St Paul numerous times.

I've been in their Buyer's Club for many years. Some years I even break even..... smile

I don't use them much anymore. New boots, socks, underwear at times. Did just buy a couple heavyweight black and red checked poly shirts. Love them!

Best deal I ever got was a M98 "Finnish sniper barrel" in 30-06, 27 inches, to replace the gone-to-crap .270 barrel (custom rifle). $100 or $110 - I forget. It came already Parkerized, just needed finish-reaming. It's a heavy barrel.

3 shot, 1" groups at 300 yards if I can hold steady enough, factory ammo, anything I've tried to date.

Rifle only weighs 11 lbs, scoped, slinged, and loaded. smile

Sometimes they have some good surplus that comes in.
My good:bad ratio has been around 70:30% products,
30:70% service and it's hit and miss as to who you get handling each.

For instance, you can order something that advertises new, never issued and end up with half of those actually used and turned in after the tour products and some new.

The reviews that IF accessable are cherry picked and the bad ones deleted.

If you don't have to snatch something up right away, I would wait for a free membership offer or free shipping coupon that comes up on certain months. If it's something you want to order now, check for an online coupon of the month and any separate ones in the hard copy catalog.

Good deal.

I think that many mail order businesses make a handsome bonus on handling and other nefarious charges.

OH, yeah. Don't order anything Dutch. Fokkers are barrels with short arms and legs. Did get some good coveralls - from England, I think.

They won't mail anything with a lithium battery in it, tho, not rangefinders or even watches. I used to order these $12 "Army type" watches, which would last up to 2 years, or longer. When they started to refuse to send those, much of my SG purchasing went away with it. I can hold a grudge..... smile

I dont trust them after Gary Olen died

Heard terrible tales of back orders gone awry and total sheeyott customers service.

Used to have Gary’s Bullet Proof Guarantee. No questions asked, full refund up to a year. I enjoyed a $1400 night vision scope for 11 months and got all my money back just to see if they’d back up their guarantee. They did

Now....no way I’d even buy $20 worth of anything from them.

I'll keep my eyes open for any more Finnish barrels and keep that in mind.

It's not too bad if you can actually go to the warehouse/store.

I'm sure if you pray hard enough, they'll cover back in stock.

I'm content with what my Father already provided.
I won't lose sleep over it one way or another.
If you took my advice ,He might just answer your prayers too.

Maybe it’s somewhat better.

The bad stuff I had seen was 3-4 years ago.

But I can’t imagine it being much better with everyone using the covid excuse to be lazy foucks and the inherent Biden transportation tie ups now

I wanna say they were bought by Northern Tool.

I’ve ordered from them. No problems.

They did cancell a bulk 9mm order when China flu craze hit.

Cant blame them for not wanting to take a loss.

Did score 2 kahr cw9 for about $205 each about 5 years ago.

Yes, but that's also true with pretty much every type
of business in my area anyway.
Used to be a half a dozen thriving full service gun
shops within a 2 mile radius here, and they all made
a living.
Barbecue joints that thrived for 40 + years until the
old man passed away, and the kids and grandkids
didn't want to put in the kind of work that pawpaw
put in to make it a successful business, and it
closed up in less than 2 years.
Feed store that was here before this part of town
was even annexed by the city
Etc. Etc.
The list is long

They have great prices for items they don't have in stock or very low stock. It gets you looking through the ads.

They were always like this, but they're awful now. I don't even open their ads.
